No prior experience required (but some experience is helpful).

What you’ll learn
The course covers all key areas of navigation and seamanship:
- Chartwork and position fixing
- Passage planning and pilotage
- Weather forecasting and meteorology
- Tides and tidal streams
- Rules of the road (COLREGs)
- Safety procedures and emergency situations
- Basics of seamanship and boat systems
The goal is to give you the knowledge to navigate confidently in familiar waters by day.
