Athens Charter Bases

The South area of Attika accommodates the capital of Greece and is the home of yachting and yacht Chartering in the Mediterranean!

Athens is the natural gateway for yacht charters in the Saronic Gulf. With Greece’s largest international airport and excellent global connectivity, it remains the primary arrival point for most sailors beginning their charter holiday in Greece.

Nea Peramos

The Saronic Sails base in Nea Peramos offers a more efficient alternative to the busy central Athens marinas. Located within the Attica region yet outside the congestion of large charter hubs, it provides faster access from Athens International Airport and a calmer start to your sailing holiday.

Guests arrive via modern train transfer from the airport and are met for the short drive to the marina. From dock to open water, the transition is smooth and immediate. Salamina lies just 5 nautical miles away, allowing you to begin sailing within minutes rather than spending valuable time clearing dense port traffic.

Its position within the Saronic Gulf also makes one-way charters possible between Nea Peramos and our Lefkada base, offering extended cruising options across two regions.
